Pets

We know they're not really “just pets.” They're the ones who greet you at the door, find their way onto the sofa, somehow know when you need a little company and have probably claimed a favorite spot in the house. They have their own expressions, their own strange little habits and, very often, a personality bigger than everyone else in the room. So yes, they absolutely belong in the family photograph.
